Analysis of Development and Implementation of the Authorization Mechanism for Higher Education Institutions
On 5-6th of December the National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement, with the support of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Georgia and it's project "Study in Georgia" has organized a conference - “Reform of QA system in HE and Perspectives of Development”.
The conference aimed at discussing recently impelmented reform of QA system in the country in accordance with the requirments (ESG 2015) of European Higher Education Area and Association Agreement signed between EU and Georgia.
National Erasmus+ Office coordinator and Higher Education Reform Experts (Irma Grdzelidze, Irine Darchia, Tamar Sanikidze) presented the document "Analysis of Development and Implementation of the Authorization Mechanism for Higher Education Institutions" at the conference. The goal of the document was to evaluate the process of implementation the updated system of External Quality Assurance (QA) of higher education institutions (HEIs) in Georgia and to measure the impact of implementation of updated QA system on institutional, national, international level. It also contains experts' key recommentations on the development and improvement of the external QA system.
