Capacity Building for Higher Education (ex-Tempus)

Five CBHE projects involving Georgian Higher Educational Institutions have been selected in 2015, nine in 2016, five in 2017 and five in 2018 (List of selected CBHE projects).

Credit Mobility

List of Georgian Universities, involved in the Erasmus+ Credit Mobility programme. It will be updated continuously. At this stage 32 Georgian HEIs collaborate with universities from 33 programme countries.

Georgia is one of the most popular countries for credit mobility and ranked 8th among 131 partner countries (see number of scholarships in the table).

Degree Mobility

  • 2015 – 8 Georgian students got scholarships for Erasmus Mundus Master Courses.
  • 2016 – 15 Georgian students got scholarships for Erasmus Mundus Master Courses.
  • 2017 – 26 Georgian students got scholarships for Erasmus Mundus Master Courses.
  • 2018 – 21 Georgian students got scholarships for Erasmus Mundus Master Courses.

Currently six Georgian HEIs are involved as associate and full partners in six Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree programmes:

  • Ilia State University is full partner in JMD Central and East European, Russian and Eurasian Studies
  • Tbilisi State University of Movie and Thatre is associate partner in JMD Docnomads+ Documentary Filmdirecting
  • Tbilisi State University and Ilia State University are associate partners in JMD European Politics and Society: Vaclav Havel Joint Master Programme
  • Tbilisi State University and GIPA are associate partners in JMD European Master in Migration and Intercultural Relations
  • Caucasus University is associate partner in JMD Tourism Development and Culture
  • Caucasus International University is associate partner in JMD International Master on Wine Tourism Innovation
